Financial barriers can make it even harder for survivors and victims of crime to access safety and stability. Everyone deserves access to support, regardless of their financial situation.

As we wrap up our Victims and Survivors of Crime Week resource series, we want to acknowledge that healing and support can look different for everyone.

Throughout the week, we’ve highlighted just some of the many resources available to survivors, from crisis and medical supports to financial assistance and emotional support.

We’re so grateful for your help to foster a safer, more caring community with AVP💜

Love notes to survivors series📜💜

Choosing when, and how to heal is a crucial part of reclaiming agency after trauma.

At AVP, we believe in centering the survivor. This means prioritizing the survivor’s autonomy to make their own decisions and recognizing that they are the experts in their own experiences and healing.

If you want to leave a love note to survivors, visit us at the SUB B027 or stop by our table when you see us around!🥰

Today is International Women’s Day💜

A day to recognize the achievements, resilience, and leadership of women and gender-diverse people, while also acknowledging the ongoing work needed to advance gender equity.

At AVP, we know the addressing gender-based violence requires collective action, accountability, and care. The work must be intersectional, recognizing how systems of power shape people’s experiences.
