Vermilion Gun Club presents " RIMFIRE GAMES" on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Vermilion Gun Club gun range.

This will be a combination shoot for 22 LR rimfire rifles only starting with 50-yard Rimfire Precision Paper shooting in the morning and changing over to the Outlaw Rimfire Precision format in the afternoon.
This shoot is limited to a maximum of 16 participants so register early if you want to part of the action. See the attached poster for registration information.

On Saturday, August 22, 2026 the Vermilion Gun Club hosted it’s annual “Ladies at the Range”. It was a fun day that focused on women learning and practicing basic marksmanship skills, safe fi****ms handling and introducing the participants to the fi****ms community.

Those attending had an opportunity to handle and fire a selection of handguns, centerfire rifles and shotguns from 410 and 12 gauge. Many of the participants in attendance had not handled and fired many of the fi****ms especially the handguns. A great learning experience that was well received and appreciated.

After a busy afternoon shooting everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch and a bit of socializing. A huge thank you to Doreen, Inga and Myles for preparing the food and feeding our guests and the rest of the VGC crew of volunteers.

Thank you to all the volunteer Range Safety Officers who were there to provide personalized instruction on the safe use of the various fi****ms and to ensure everyone had a fun and safe experience. And to all the other club volunteers who pitched in, Thank You!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

The registration deadline is coming up fast for the Vermilion Gun Club’s annual MILITARY SERVICE RIFLE MATCH on Saturday, August 29,2026 at the VGC gun range.

This match is a friendly competition using only “as-issued” vintage bolt-action military service rifles. Only rifles with open “battle sights” or target aperture sights are permitted.No scoped nor any semi-auto military service rifles are allowed. This is a great event to bring out those historical fi****ms out of your gun safe and shoot a few rounds. Approximate round count for the match is 60 rounds but bring extra for sighters rounds.

Registrations are open and space is limited. Get your registration in before the cut-off date on August 26, 2026. The entry fee is $15 for Youth and $30 for Adults. A light lunch is included in the entry fee.

Just a reminder that the Vermilion Gun Club gun range will be closed to Member and Guest shooting activities on the following dates. These range closures apply to non-event participants. VGC members are asked to please adjust their shooting plans accordingly.

No bringing of personal fi****ms will be allowed.

The Canadian High School Finals Rodeo Light Rifle and Trap shooting contestants were at the Vermilion Gun Club on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, 2026. Over the two days the Vermilion Gun Club hosted the High School Light Rifle, High School Trap and the Junior High Light Rifle shooting events. In total 53 contestants (21 in High School Light Rifle, 13 in Trap Shooting and 19 in Junior High Light Rifle) participated in these various events. Congratulations to all the contestants who made it to the National rodeo Finals. The VGC would also like to congratulate all the winners of these shooting events. You all should be very proud of your accomplishments at these rodeo finals events.

The Vermilion Gun Club looks forward to hosting the shooting events again next year at the 2027 Canadian High School Finals Rodeo in Vermilion. As a club we are extremely pleased to be able to support youth shooting events such as the High School Light Rifle and Trap events.

Thank you to all the club volunteers who stepped up to help out with this two day event. Without your help we could not have made it such a positive experience for the contestants and their families.

The VGC gun range never looked better and we heard a lot of very positive comments about the range itself and about the commitment of the club members in making sure that the needs of the rodeo shooting events were met.

Vermilion Gun Club Memberships now available from Prophet River Fi****ms in Lloydminster!

The Vermilion Gun Club is pleased to announce that Lloydminster and area residents can now purchase a Vermilion Gun Club membership from Prophet River Fi****ms.
Vermilion and area residents can continue to renew memberships or purchase a new membership from the Cornerstone Co-op Gas Bar in Vermilion.

Memberships available are:
- Regular membership $75 per calendar year
- 1 Adult, 18 years of age and older
- Family Membership $100 per calendar year
- 1 Primary Adult, a spouse/partner & any dependents under 18
