Essential oils for our bereavement/memento boxes were received today. When our team was deciding on what the perfect scent would be, vanilla felt safe & then when they seen “Vanilla Skies” it became so much more special. As loss parents, we often find comfort in finding signs from our babies in the sky. 🪽☁️🌞

Why include essential oils in our boxes?
Scent is one of the strongest ties we have to memory.
A smell can bring someone back to a moment, a feeling, a person — instantly.

For grieving parents, memory matters.
Not because they want to stay stuck in grief, but because love still needs somewhere to land.

That’s why we include essential oils in our bereavement boxes through The Kayde Foundation.
A gentle scent can become part of a ritual of remembrance:

* placed on a pillow before bed
* diffused during quiet moments
* used while holding keepsakes or reading letters
* carried through the hardest anniversaries and due dates

Over time, that scent can become connected to comfort, connection, and the continued bond with their baby.

Grief lives deeply in the body and the senses.
Sometimes healing support looks less like “moving on” and more like creating safe, tangible ways to remember. 🤍

Another second trimester loss box into the arms of a mama. “Reflecting on how far we have come as a foundation & connecting with families I know first hand we are giving them more than most could ever dream of & yet somehow, it will never feel like enough. Something is always missing, being able to pull off a miracle & change the outcome of your reality” 🪽🤍

To the mama approaching her due date while carrying the weight of knowing you are not meeting your baby, we are right there with you. This early loss box, is making its way into the arms of a mama who is currently learning to live with an indescribable pain & we are here to remind her, she is not alone.

This box includes:
🪽 A handwritten note from another loss mom
🪽 Resource card to scan if and when they are ready
🪽 Book for mom
🪽 Book for dad
🪽 Journal + pen
🪽 Forget me not Angel
🪽 Wave of light candle

Due dates can bring a quiet ache that others may not fully understand. They can stir up questions, sadness, anger, longing, or even moments of numbness. If you know of a loved one who is nearing their due date, a simple connection & acknowledgment can go such a long way. ✨💐

One of our bereavement/memento boxes made it in the arms of a mama today who is preparing for a second trimester loss delivery. Receiving these messages & connecting with moms being faced with the most devastating moments of their lives never gets easier however it is a true honour to be trusted to ensure these moms are not alone in these moments.

This box includes items to be used during the precious and sacred time spent with baby in hospital & others that will continue to support parents long into their grief journey.

And of course, something for big brother & dad in here too ❤️‍🩹

We would not be able to provide these resources without your generous donations. Thank you for helping us support our loss families.

May is a busy month for us with lots of support and movement behind the scenes as well 💛🪽

Welcome to the Team 🤎🪽
Michelle is a mom, a certified birth and postpartum doula, and a passionate advocate for families navigating all the complexities of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Her own journey into motherhood—marked by a challenging pregnancy, a traumatic birth, and a difficult postpartum experience—shaped the heart of the work she does today.

She specializes in supporting high-risk pregnancies, as well as families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, and those navigating pregnancy after loss. She understands how layered these journeys can be—filled with hope, fear, grief, and resilience—and she strives to create a space where every emotion is welcomed and supported.

As a doula, she offers steady, compassionate care rooted in evidence-based information, emotional support, and advocacy. Her goal is to help families feel informed, empowered, and never alone as they move through their unique paths to and through parenthood.

At the core of her work is a deep belief that every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported—especially during life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments.

Joining the Kayde Foundation and being able to support families through loss feels like such an honour. Walking alongside people not only in their grief, but also through birth, postpartum, and even into future pregnancy planning and pregnancy after loss—it’s something she doesn’t take lightly.

This work is so deeply meaningful to Michelle, and being trusted in these incredibly vulnerable seasons is truly a privilege.
