JRoots Supplementary Hebrew School We are a unique Supplementary Jewish School that serves the educational, cultural and spiritual needs of Jewish (secular) families!

JRoots students:
- discover the power of Jewish Education
- learn the meaning of Jewish holidays and life cycle,
- establish understanding of our rich history,
- develop Hebrew conversational skills
- become active participants of Toronto’s Jewish Community life

We explore Jewish Identity and Culture, and provide students with the opportunity to express their creativity via Holiday-related arts

& crafts, music and songs, play-based curriculum and conversational Hebrew. The JRoots team brings Spirit, Meaning, Enthusiasm and Creativity to the classrooms to inspire our students and their families!

Enroll your child in an unforgettable Jewish and Hebrew journey with Supplementary Hebrew School at the JCC!

Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Join our inclusive community school, offering classes for both non-Hebrew (JRoots) and Hebrew (Kachol-Lavan) speakers. Let your child explore Jewish identity, Israel studies, Hebrew literacy, Judaic arts, and more. Classes are available for students ages 3-13, on Sunday mornings or Tuesday evenings.

What a day filled with Purim spirit and had a wonderful time celebrating together! Our students enjoyed Purim activities in their favorite costumes and participated in the JRoots Purim Carnival. Students received their own Michloach Manot, enjoyed eating delicious hamantaschen/Purim treats, and ended the day with an incredible Purim Costume Parade-2023.
