Established in 2009, Bay Seniors is a registered charity whose purpose is to reach and engage the seniors of St.

Margaret’s Bay area, to assist them with their needs, and to enrich their lives.

This pretty Heidi Daus set sold today at our Pop-up Halloween Jewellery Sale, and we couldn't be happier for the new owner, who even gave us a treat of chocolate, too!

We raised $325 for the St. Margaret's Bay Food Bank, thanks to our generous donors who contribute the jewellery and the supportive buyers who take home something special.

Our next Saturday Sparkle sale will be on November 28, at the Hubbards Christmas Market. We'll have some things we've been saving for that, including vintage crystal necklaces and earrings and some adorable holiday brooches.

p.s. Among other treasures, the jack-o-lantern brooch (with lights!), the orange broom earrings, the Elvira necklace, and the sterling spider ring also sold. Happy Halloween!

Falls are a significant injury concern in Atlantic Canada, specifically for older adults. People living in rural communities may also experience additional challenges related to access to health care and support services, geographic isolation, environmental conditions and their ability to safely age in place.

The Falls Prevention and Ageing in Place in Rural Communities Project focuses on adults aged 50+ living in rural communities across Atlantic Canada. The Atlantic Collaborative on Injury Prevention (ACIP) is collecting lived experiences to better understand the physical, environmental, social and economic conditions that influence ageing in place and fall risk.

The findings will also help identify common patterns, barriers, and opportunities that can inform future fall prevention work.
