🧺👕 Life skills with a side of laughter!

Our Life Skills crew was hard at work today learning how to sort clothing for laundry. From lights to darks and everything in between, our participants were building important skills that help promote independence and confidence.

Of course, there was a little fun mixed in too! 😄 While the group was busy sorting, Tanya was paging Kyndra to the office for a quick check-in and debrief. Let’s just say it added a little excitement to the day and gave everyone a reason to smile.

Learning doesn’t have to be boring when you’re having fun with friends!

🌪️😄 Kade had us all smiling today!

Kade took a spin on one of the twirling seats and was determined to keep the fun going. The only problem? Every time he got going, he seemed to get a little stuck! 😂

Watching him figure it out, laugh, and keep trying made for a pretty adorable moment. Sometimes it’s not about doing it perfectly—it’s about having fun, enjoying the experience, and sharing lots of laughs with friends along the way.

Way to go, Kade! You made our day a little brighter. 💙

🚆✨ Sometimes the simplest outings create the best memories.

Today, a few of our guys found the perfect spot downtown to sit by a large window and watch the CTrains roll by. There was lots to see as the trains came and went, people moved through the city, and Calgary buzzed with activity all around them.

It’s amazing how much joy can come from slowing down, taking in the view, and sharing the moment with friends. 💙

🏀🎯 Jen was giving it her all today!

As part of a fun relay challenge, Jen took aim and tried to sink the ball into the bucket. Did every shot make it? Nope! Did that stop her from having fun? Absolutely not! 😄

Some shots were right on target, some went a little off course, but every throw came with determination, laughter, and a big smile. That’s what it’s all about—trying new things, cheering each other on, and having fun along the way!

Seeing Carter and Kade supporting one another reminds us that some of life’s most meaningful moments don’t require words—they simply come from kindness, trust, and caring for one another.

We are so proud of the friendships that continue to grow within our Loving Hands family. These bonds create confidence, belonging, and a community where everyone is valued for exactly who they are.

🌿🌸 Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you don’t plan!

Our Thursday YYC crew was originally headed to Sandy Beach today, but with the unpredictable weather and concerns about high water levels, we decided to switch things up and spend the day exploring the beautiful Devonian Gardens instead.

The change of plans didn’t slow this group down one bit! From exploring the indoor gardens to enjoying time together, our crew had an amazing day filled with laughter, friendship, and discovery. It just goes to show that a little flexibility can lead to a whole lot of fun!

Whether it’s turning pages, learning new words, or sharing stories with friends, every moment spent reading helps build confidence, communication skills, and independence. Kyndra’s positive attitude and willingness to participate make her a joy to have in our program.

Today Lindsey challenged herself on the rock climbing wall and took on every step with determination, confidence, and a big smile. Every climb is more than just reaching the top—it’s about building strength, overcoming challenges, and believing in yourself.

Naomi and Jen hit the air hockey table today and brought their A-game! Naomi and Jen showed us that it’s not about who wins—it’s about having fun, building friendships, and enjoying a little healthy competition.
