Woezo Africa is pleased to be bringing Lucie Assamba to Calgary for workshops on July 18. She will be facilitating traditional Cameroonian dance (Bikutsi) as part of our Afro Urban Dance Workshops Vol. 11.

Athena is a Cameroonian interdisciplinary artist and choreographer whose practice spans traditional African dance and street styles including Waacking, Dancehall, Ndombolo, Mbolé, and Afro House. She is also a member of Afrodomtl, supporting the development and mentorship of dancers in African and Afro-descendant forms within the Montreal dance community.
