It’s 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤! 💧 Ready to save some H2O?

Did you know a dripping tap can waste anywhere between 11,000 to 37,000 litres (3,000 – 10,000 gallons) of water a year? 😱 Outside of the financial stress, a leaky faucet also contributes to ‌water scarcity.
Time to grab that wrench and fix those leaks!
What’s your favorite way to save water at home? 🛁✨

𝐓𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐫á:𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐧𝐞𝐤𝐚𝐫ó𝐧𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧 – We offer our thanks to all waters

During Drinking Water Week, May 3–9, the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte is shining a spotlight on Tyendinaga’s critical drinking water infrastructure and highlighting the dedicated workers and community investment required to provide safe and reliable water service.

Drinking water underpins the health and economic vitality of communities, and keeping water systems reliable is a round-the-clock commitment and significant expense. Water utilities must renew aging infrastructure, protect source water, prepare for climate and security risks – all while continuing to deliver high quality, reliable water every day.

To celebrate Drinking Water Week, water utilities, water organizations, environmental advocates, schools, and others throughout Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory let’s say Nyawen'kó:wa!
