CRCA Marshals Race Marshals CRCA is Canada's first and most experienced race marshalling club. In 2019 CRCA celebrated our 60th Anniversary.

It has played a significant role in the Ontario racing community since 1959, joining the Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs (CASC) in 1960, and acquiring its Federal Charter in 1962. Based at Shannonville Motorsport Park, the Club has supported the racing community by providing Corner Marshals for all forms of racing events including, Super Series motorcycles, National motorcycle racing, Regional open and closed-wheel cars and numerous special interest groups. CRCA marshals have participated at racing events at Mosport Park from the opening day to the present. Our members worked events at Green Acres (near Goderich, ON) and Harewood Acres (south of Hamilton, ON) until their closing. Our club organized the Corner Marshals for the first ever Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport International Raceway (formerly Mosport Park and now called Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) in 1967, and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of Canada, also in 1967, notably the only time this country has had an FIM-sanctioned Grand Prix! CRCA Marshals continue to support motorsports events at tracks throughout Ontario including CTMP, Calabogie Motorsport Park, Grand Bend and in Quebec at Mont Tremblant, Trois Rivieres and the F1 on Île Notre-Dame in Montreal. Members have also travelled to the United States to marshal both MotoGP and F1.

This is your callout for the final event at SMP this season, and the season-ending 5th round of the RaceMoto Season, September 25th to 27th.

The Nelson 50th Anniversary Pro Superbike feature race happens Sunday afternoon with an open-tire format and a big-money purse ($2,500 for the winner, and $10,000 total). The winner of the very first race 50 years ago, and namesake of corner 13 "Allen's Corner" Jim Allen, serves as the grand marshal.

The event will be on the Pro track configuration, and the weekend will also feature the FIM Mini Moto series on the kart track configuration.

The event will be recorded for a future broadcast on TSN.

Registration for marshals is open. You will find the link in your call-out email.

A schedule will be provided closer to the event. Plan for bikes on track at 8:30am, meaning the morning meeting will take place at approximately 7:45.

Meet as usual in the covered area by the restaurant for your corner assignments, radios and flags. If you have not worked a regional event at SMP yet this year, please be sure to sign the annual marshal waiver that will cover you for this event: https://shannonville.speedwaiver.com/agyrb

Hello everyone.

While we are not doing a dedicated CRCA corner at the Indy this year as we have done the last few years due to scheduling conflicts, several people have asked about registration.

While some of us will be working at VRRA at CTMP that weekend cheering on Wayne in his CRCA sponsored sidecar, you are more than welcome to join MMS at the Indy if you so choose.

Register on the MSR link above if you are planning to attend.

There is also still time, as well, to register for VRRA that weekend, just email Brian Dawe at [email protected] before Monday at noon.

Just a reminder about Round 3 this weekend. We could still use a few more volunteers to fully cover long track all three days.

If you have signed up for the paid Friday test already, you are ACCEPTED to work - we are still a little short on that day so if anyone is on the fence and might be available, just let me know.

It's Round 3 of Racemoto coming up in less than 2 weeks.

And we will be using LONG track, so we will need plenty of marshals to fully cover the track.

Please confirm your attendance by registering at:
RACEMOTO.CA ROUND 3 - MARSHAL REGISTRATION in your call-out email.

Please sign up as soon as possible so we can confirm full track coverage for the weekend.

Bikes are expected on track at 8:30am. RaceMOTO will be joined by MiniSBK as well as the Canadian SuperMoto series for the weekend, so the schedule will be jam-packed and there should be lots of action.

Please arrive no later than 7:30 at the picnic table area beside the restaurant for a 7:50am morning briefing.

We will try to provide a schedule for you as soon as one is available.

Be there, or be square.
