📚🚲 Books for Bikes! 🚲📚

Thanks to generous community donations, we have two children’s bicycles in good working order to give away. For every library book read and returned during the month of June, participants will receive one ballot to enter into the draw for the bike of their choice.

Don't know what to read? Talk to a librarian! We can help find you something that'll hook you. The lucky winners will be drawn at our Summer Kick-Off Party, July 2nd.

This Saturday May 30th, stop by the library and pick up a seedling or two to kickstart your veggie garden! We've got a selection of everything from lettuce to tomatoes, kohlrabi to cauliflower, peas to corn, and so much more!

Julie has been enjoying Swordheart by T. Kingfisher. A fantasy tale of a housemaid inheriting an estate from a distant relative, including a sword (and the immortal swordsman magically chained to it) who protects her from everything from a roving inquisition to her own in-laws.
And it's funny enough that Julie can be heard snickering on her lunch break.

It has been amazing seeing the growing confidence of our Learn-to-Sew Sew-cial Club members!
We had people go from learning how to thread and start up their machines to confidently making tote bags. One even made a pair of pants for her daughter!

Our Sew-cial club meets every Tuesday evening at 5pm - feel free to bring your own machine, or use one of ours. It's a place to gather and work on your own projects, and get support of (and socialize with) other sewists.

This PA day, spend a day recovering from the DPS Fun Fair by dropping by the library and relaxing while we watch movies!
Pre-register to reserve a craft kit for a beaded keychain that you can work on while watching the movies. (These could make perfect teacher gifts!)

We will be screening Transformers One (2024) at 10:30am, and Transformers (2007) at 12:15pm.
The library will be available to browse and check out books during this time, but there will be no computer access.

Need something to do while your kids are watching Night at the Museum at the library? Come hang out with the other adults and make some rude keychains! We have a whole bunch of beads (and yes, that includes letter beads) so you can create (or swear) to your hearts content.
