Last night Mike helped our team practice their knot tying skills. Knots have many practical uses in Search and Rescue including ropes rescuing using our litter for someone who is injured or unable to walk out of the woods on their own.

Forrest Woods has some great advice for our kids going back to school! Thanks Forrest!

Hey Kids! It's that time to go back to school! Here's something for you to remember and parents you can share this with your children as well; if you are walking to or from school or to or from the school bus make sure you go straight to where it is that you are supposed to go. If you are supposed to go to school then go, if you are supposed to go home then go home. Only go somewhere else if you have permission from an adult that knows where you are going. If you get lost, stay in one spot so that an adult can find you. I'm hanging out by this tree until someone finds me.

Have a great school year and be safe!
