Pinwheel Wellness Centre’s Wellness Groups offer Autistic adults (19+) a supportive space to connect, learn, and explore topics related to mental health and wellbeing from a neuro-inclusive lens.

We're pleased to be offering the following groups this fall:

🌊 Calling all local businesses! 🌊

There is still time to join this year's Walk YOUR Way on Saturday, September 26!

Walk YOUR Way is Autism Nova Scotia's largest annual fundraiser, and one of the things that makes it so meaningful is that every dollar raised in Pictou County stays in our region, directly supporting autistic individuals and families throughout Pictou County. Those funds help us provide programs, support services, community events, advocacy, and opportunities for connection right here at home.

If you own a business or know of a business, that would be interested in sponsoring this year's walk, we'd love to connect! We'd be happy to send along our sponsorship package and talk about how you can be part of this incredible community event.

📧 Please email Kelsey at [email protected] for more information.

Pictou County has always demonstrated how strong of a community we are for the last 15+ years of our local walk event. Let's do this together!

Our Chapters Department Team! Always a great chance to connect when we are together.

Some exciting things are on the go for the fall and look forward to sharing what we will be up to at our local chapter very soon!

This week, our Chapter Coordinators had the chance to come together at Autism Nova Scotia’s central office! 💛

With our chapters spread across the province, time together means lots of brainstorming, planning, sharing ideas, and learning from one another.

Our Chapter Coordinators are the regional leads for Autism Nova Scotia’s chapters across the province. Their work includes supporting autistic individuals and families, fund development, program planning, community connections, and overseeing the overall operations of their local chapters.

We are officially less than one month away from Walk Your Way, taking place on September 26!

What does it actually mean when we say Walk Your Way supports "local programs and services"?

It means ensuring programs like Weekend Recreation & Respite can continue. Hear from moms Sam and Melaney as they share their experiences and reflect on the friendships they and their children built through the program, and the lasting impact of connection, recreation, and respite.

Walk Your Way means creating spaces where autistic individuals and families can connect, participate, and show up as they are. Walk Your Way helps support programs and experiences that matter locally.

Thank you for helping make these moments possible. 💖
