Need Food Support? Here's How to Register

Getting help from the food bank is easy. If you need food assistance, simply follow the registration steps below to access our services.

To register, visit us at our location: 410 Granville Street, New Glasgow

When you arrive, we’ll ask a few basic questions, including:
• Names of household members
• Dates of birth for household members
• Address and phone number

Please bring identification for every member of your household.
( Because we keep only limited information on file -name, date of birth, and contact information- you will be asked to show ID for household members each time you visit the food bank.)

Food distribution hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays --8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
(Closed on holidays.)

Households may access the food bank once per month and will receive approximately 3–5 days of food per person in the household.

❗ Please note: Your first visit must be completed in person at our location.

We understand that everyone needs a helping hand from time to time, and our team is here to assist you with dignity and respect. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The SW Weeks Annual Golf Tournament, held last Saturday, raised $805.00 for the Food Bank. SW Weeks Construction generously matched the amount raised, bringing the total donation to $1,610.00!

A big shoutout and thank you to the awesome students from Northumberland Regional High School who hosted a BBQ as part of their service learning project in support of Pictou County Food Bank East!

Thanks to their hard work and the support of the community, they raised almost $500 for the food bank. What an incredible achievement!

We are so grateful that these students chose to support our organization. 💕Their enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment to helping others will make a real difference for local individuals and families.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a burger, and helped make the event such a success. We truly appreciate your support!

With the weekend coming up, we want to make sure none of it goes to waste. Anyone who would enjoy some fresh corn this weekend is welcome to stop by our parking lot at 410 Granville Street, New Glasgow, on FRIDAY MAY 29 between 9am -11 am and help themselves while quantities last.
