Mavi needs a home.

Right now, Mavi is searching for either a foster or forever home by June 10th and more than anything, we’re hoping the next place he lands can finally be his forever.

After months of learning, growing, and building trust in foster care, Mavi has come so far. The once unsure puppy is now showing his goofy, affectionate, cuddly personality more and more every single day. He’s learning that the world can be safe, routines can be comforting, and people can be kind.

What would help Mavi thrive most now? Stability. A family to truly bond with. A home where he no longer has to start over again.

Mavi’s ideal home is one that will continue helping him build confidence through patience, routine, training, and guidance. He would thrive in a quieter neighbourhood with a backyard where he can decompress, explore, and enjoy outdoor time away from the stress of busy city environments.

He absolutely blossoms with another dog by his side. His foster sibling has helped him learn, play, grow, and feel safe, and we would love to see him continue that journey with a confident doggie companion in his forever home.

He doesn’t need perfection. He just needs someone willing to believe in him.

Someone to celebrate the little wins.
Someone to continue building his confidence.
Someone to show him that he’s finally home.

And once Mavi trusts you, you’ll see what an incredibly special dog he truly is.

Good with dogs. Looking for a quiet/suburban home with a yard and dog companion.

Lola / Female / 3 Years Old / 38lbs / Mixed Breed / Good with Dogs / Untested with Kids / Untested with Cats / From Mexico/ Fostered in Toronto

Lola is a gentle, sensitive soul who is learning (at her own pace) that the world can be a safe and kind place. She was found living at a remote gas station while very pregnant, in an area known for abandoned dogs. Since coming into care, she has made quiet but meaningful progress, slowly trading fear for trust and beginning to understand what it means to belong.

She is a soft, affectionate girl with a calm presence. Lola enjoys the simple things-sniff walks, time outdoors, cozy naps, and cuddling up once she feels comfortable. She’s not one for chaos or attention; instead, she prefers to quietly observe her surroundings before deciding how she feels. When she does open up, it’s incredibly special. She’ll come over for gentle cuddles, offer sweet kisses, and even greet you with a happy little burst of excitement to start the day. She also has a playful, endearing side, especially when it comes to mealtime, where she does a small excited dance.

With her people, Lola is loving, easygoing, and deeply affectionate once she feels safe. With new people, she is more cautious and prefers slow, respectful introductions, often choosing to keep her distance at first before gradually warming up. While she hasn’t been formally tested with children, based on her temperament, she would likely do well with calm, dog-savvy kids who can give her space and allow her to approach on her own terms.

The hardest part of rescue right now?

We urgently need foster homes!

Right now, dogs are waiting in overcrowded shelters, stressful situations, and unsafe environments, hoping someone will open their home and give them a safe place to land.

Fostering saves lives. Literally.
Without fosters, we cannot say yes to dogs who desperately need us.

Fosters are the heart of rescue.
They are the reason scared dogs learn to trust again.
The reason neglected dogs finally feel safe.
The reason abandoned dogs get a second chance at love.

And while fostering may only be temporary, the impact lasts forever.

We provide support, supplies, and vet care.

You provide the love that changes everything.

Please consider fostering.

One home can save a life and make room for us to save the next one too. 🐾

Annie / Female / 1.5 Years / 33 lbs / Lab mix / Good with Dogs / Good with Kids / Good with Cats / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto

Annie has had a bit of a rough start to life. Found as a tiny pup suffering from malnutrition, parasites, and a coatimundi bite (Annie learned the adage of “never pick a fight with a coati” the hard way), she’s since been rescued by caring people and given both food and medical care. Now, this sweet, loving, and above all, cuddly girl is searching for a forever home.

When you first meet Annie, the first thing you’ll notice is that she’s a shy dog. She doesn’t come bounding up to play, and she doesn’t view everyone as a friend she just hasn’t met yet. You have to spend time with her, earn her trust, and then you’ll find that this girl is the sweetest little love pup you ever did see.

Annie’s three favorite things are snuggling, napping on someone’s lap, and belly rubs, in that order. She’ll happily spend all day snuggling on the couch—it’s her happy place. Annie is always in the mood for couch cuddles and a long nap in her humans’ arms. It’ll take some work, but once you’re in, she’ll stick to you like glue.

Mavi / Male / 1 Year / 46 lbs / Shepherd Mix / Good with Dogs / Older Kids Only / Not Good with Cats / Local Shelter / Fostered in Toronto

Mavi is a handsome, sensitive boy who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. While his past is unknown, he has been thriving in foster care with structure, training, and patient guidance, and every day his personality shines a little brighter.

Mavi is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and deeply affectionate once he trusts you. His foster says he picks up new tricks almost immediately and loves training sessions, puzzles, sniffing adventures, lick mats, long-lasting chews, and outdoor time. After warming up, he becomes a total cuddle bug who loves being close to his people.

With familiar people, Mavi is easygoing, affectionate, and loving. Around strangers, he can initially be nervous and takes a little time to settle in, especially in busy environments. He does best with calm, patient introductions and people who allow him to move at his own pace. Mavi would not be the right fit for a home with young children, but he may do well with respectful older teens.

From a shy, uncertain boy to a dog who’s learning to trust, love, and shine, Mavi has made incredible progress and is searching for a patient home to help him keep building confidence and discovering the joy of being a dog.

Jack / Male / 1 year old / 42 lbs / Hound-Lab Mix / Good with dogs / Untested with cats / Untested with children / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto

Meet Jack! Jack came to us from Mexico after he and his mom were found behind a gas station. Despite his difficult start, Jack has grown into a kind, gentle dog who is gradually gaining confidence and learning how good home life is.

Jack is a calm, affectionate but shy young dog who is still learning that the world can be a safe and friendly place. His foster family describes him as a very cuddly, love bug. He bonds with his trusted humans and is most comfortable staying by their side. Jack has been working each day to build his confidence so his adorable personality can shine through.

Jack is quite nervous around new people, places and things. He will look to his trusted human for comfort and direction and has made small gains during his time in foster care. Jack is curious and is showing signs of wanting to get to know people and dogs, but only once they have passed or are at a distance.

Jack is a gentle, loving soul who is ready to find a patient forever family to help him continue building confidence and show the world his true, affectionate self.

Hey, it’s me… Kyle 🐾

Just popping in with some very important thank yous and a little life update…

First up, my foster mom Treva 💛
10 whole weeks of love, patience, and top-tier cuddle service while I recover. 10/10, would absolutely stay again.

And of course, my foster fur sisters 🐶
The ultimate bed rest buddies, professional snugglers, and full-time moral support. Recovery is way better with friends by your side.

Next, the amazing team at Caledon Mountain Veterinary Hospital 🩺
They got me all fixed up and feeling so much better.

I’ve been healing like a total rockstar. My strength is coming back and I’m getting more comfortable on my legs. I’ll be starting physiotherapy to keep building muscle and confidence.

If things keep going this well, I might just be making my comeback to the adoption scene very soon 👀

Stay tuned. Kyle 2.0 loading…
