💥We don't think our album is getting much traction out there.🙀😞

A wonderful supporter has been putting in their time and generosity of donations to help us raise vital funds to pay down our debts and to continue supporting our cats and dogs and basically help us stay afloat.

These items are priced incredibly low and affordable - It's doubtful they can be beat! And honestly, it's all going to the cats and dogs - so, it's money well spent.😽❤️

PLEASE SHARE our complete album or if you share any of these individual album "added items" posts, remember to remind people to click on our PHOTOS section to find the complete album.

THANK YOU for your support, always!🙏🏻

MILTON❤️

Just another day of bougienage at Kahu AH.
Followed by snack.
More bougie.
More snack.
Maybe one more round of each today, but maybe two is enough.

Snacks are still welcome. There's always room in this belly.😸

Milton is still hoping one day to have funds for his specialist procedure so he can finally just chill at home without the need for weekly bougienage sessions.

He can't make his procedure happen on his own.

Milton didn't finish school and he's been unemployed for years.🙀

Any amount helps us reach his dream to have his re**um feeling so good he doesn't need to have weekly vet visits for as long as we can stretch it.😉😽

Did you catch that play on words?🙃🤭

ℹ️To help Milton see the specialist - please use our e-transfer, PayPal or Square options.

MOIRA❤️

Our most senior lady, Moira, was at the vet yesterday for her urine recheck to ensure her bladder infection is all clear and to do some blood work.

This lovely lady is like the Energizer bunny - except not as busy. lol Still, she keeps going and going.💗

We noticed that her weight has remained stagnant despite what is described as a voracious appetite. So, we're checking her thyroid to ensure that's not the issue standing in her way of gaining a few pounds.

Moira LOVES her carrier and it's cave-like offering of a sleep spot. So, to get her out and about while at her appt., we had to bribe her with treats.

She's so easy!🤭

And she was so focused.

Determined.

She wanted every last bite out of that tube!

Moira still needs to find a long term foster where she can live out her life. Her current foster travels and was always meant to be temporary.

To foster Moira, you must feel comfortable giving sub-q fluids or be willing to learn. She can be both cooperative and also a bit fussy during her fluids, so please be comfortable navigating around her fussy moments (happy to give tips and tricks to help).

Beyond her fluids, anything else she's on is given with food or by mouth and is either powder, liquid or pill.

Please be able to transport as needed to our vet or in an emergency. Our approved forms of transport are personal vehicle or taxi (Uber, Lyft, etc.) at your on expense. We do not allow public transit due to the risks and stress to our cats.

Moira is an absolute sweetheart. All she wants is a warm lap, a gentle hand, lots of love and a place to call home in her very, very old age.

Remember, it's not about how much time you have with an animal - it's about how you spend that time that matters most.❤️

Just a very petite cat with special needs being a typical cat.
They eat.
They sleep.
Some toilet in between.

Leila forgot to mention that after eating, she did in fact have a good p*e before falling asleep.😸

⚕️HOLLYBERRY UPDATE

This beautiful girl came through her eye enucleation with flying colours!

The silver lining to losing one eye is definitely more immediate comfort level. The other is that Hollyberry still has her good eye to glare at you with and pass judgement after judgement - especially if you don't listen to her.🤣

Honestly, while I carry the stress of paying bills and keeping up with everything, I am so grateful for the support sent thus far from you guys and for our amazing Kahu vets and team for their support and incredible care of our delicate, but clearly full of strength - babies of all ages. We really would have folded ages ago if it were not for their compassion, generosity and patience as we keep chipping away at our balance owing while also keeping up with the ongoing needs of all our cats.🙏🏻💜

Seeing a one-eyed Hollyberry brings me relief that she now can just heal a suture site instead of continuing in pain and discomfort, enduring constant eye drops and ointments for weeks to come without guarantee of the outcome.

While Hollyberry was in surgery, her vet did find an abscess that seems to be associated with a lymph node - so this was cultured to see what the cause is. Let's hope it's nothing. 😟

Other than this new find, she's doing wonderfully. High as a kite on drugs, but you wouldn't really know it to look at that grump-a-lump face in the photo! 😼

Don't let her look deceive you - she's an absolute love and enjoys snuggles with her people.💗

If you work from home, are retired or generally at home for other reasons and have a soft spot for medical senior cats - please reach out. Hollyberry needs someone who is home more than not. Her health is easily managed, but there are times when monitoring and medicating need to happen through the daytime. 💜

HOLLYBERRY has a question for everyone because she needs your help today.

We need your help.

Hollyberry's eye has made very little to stagnant progress after weeks of round the clock eye medications. At 17 years old, this sweet girl does not need to feel this miserable for weeks ahead with an unknown duration of time to heal - IF it fully heals and doesn't suddenly return again. She's in pain and discomfort and is miserable with her current situation.

Based on the very sluggish healing pattern, we have made the decision with our vet, to move forward with Hollyberry's eye removal today - for her benefit, comfort and wellbeing.

For anyone who has ever thought seniors can't go through surgery - this is simply not true. Surgery comes with risks for everyone at any age - human or animal. We always look at the larger picture of the individual animals overall health along with the pros/cons of proceeding with a surgery vs. not. Surgery is what is best for this beautiful girl. It will offer her a better quality of life moving forward. And at 17 years old, quality of life is what we focus on.

The top end of Hollyberry's eye enucleation surgery is just under $1,300 which would include sending her eye out for testing if the vet feels this is necessary.

🙏🏻Whatever you can give to help us pay her surgery expenses, including any balance owing on her file, we are grateful.

⚕️HOLLYBERRY MEDICAL UPDATE

Our girl has been having a kinda rough go. Her sudden eye deterioration has been such a trip none of us want to see her on. While her ulcer had been verrrrrry slowly healing, it's also been stagnant a little.

During Friday's appt., there was some eye clean-up done as she had a lot of gunk built up which can also hinder healing. Her vet felt it would be reasonable to see if altering her medication frequency might help as it was always possible that her eye was feeling some irritation resulting from the amount of medication. This change was a last ditch effort to try and help the healing process before Hollyberry's eye enucleation date tomorrow (Tuesday).

Whether this was the direction Hollyberry's eye was heading anyways or it was a result of changing just two medications since Friday, the reality is that her eye is not healing at a rate that is working for our sweet girl.

She's been a trooper without question, but she's absolutely miserable and getting less tolerant. Based on how slow her healing process is, we expect this to take multiple weeks still - which isn't fair for an old lady to deal with. Even if we could heal her eye over the next additional 6 weeks or so, there is always a chance that this likely herpes related sudden ulcer will occur again.

We have one last recheck for a miracle on Tuesday morning, but as it currently stands, and in discussion with her vets, Hollyberry will be going forward with her enucleation tomorrow (Tuesday). She needs to feel relief and removing her eye will bring that relief much, much quicker.

What she 100% needs - is your help to cover her surgery expenses. While we don't have a quote yet, I'm ballparking similar to what Chudley's eye removal cost - I think it was around $1,500 give or take a little.

We had been slowly chipping away at our balance owing while keeping on top of current expenses. With the whirlwind of recent expenses including our van, multiple medical visits, plus Hollyberry's need for day boarding Monday to Friday for two weeks to receive her eye meds while her foster was at work, it was a challenge to keep up.

🖼️📸We have a fundraiser happening with our Fall Buy It Now album - check it out under our photos section.

Whatever you can spare to help Hollyberry, we are grateful.
