When it comes to people giving donations, it’s easy for people to think that their one small donation won’t make a difference, but nothing could be further from the truth. Donations to support research give families like Lucas’ hope. 💙

Diagnosed with an ultra-rare condition caused by mutations in the RBM28 gene, Lucas and his family are helping shine a light on a disease with no approved treatment and very limited research. Through our support of research at SickKids and UMass Chan Medical School, Blu Genes Foundation is helping advance the work needed to understand RBM28-related disease and explore potential gene therapy treatments. Together, we can help give children like Lucas a brighter future.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Niagara-on-the-Lake, riders and supporters came together to raise $270,000 in support of rare disease research. From the scenic routes to the shared moments along the way, this event was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when a community comes together.

A day to remember at Velo Blu 💙 🚴

From crossing the finish line to taking in all that Niagara has to offer, Velo Blu 2026 was a day filled with incredible moments, great conversations, and a community coming together with purpose.

Thanks to everyone who rode, supported, volunteered, and helped make this year’s event such a success. Together, we raised $270,000 bringing the total raised through Velo Blu since its first event to an incredible $2.4 million.

We’re so grateful to everyone who continues to show up and support our cause. Here’s to another unforgettable Velo Blu.
