A heartfelt thank you to Brenda Sky, a longtime Ve’ahavta volunteer who has facilitated countless workshops in our VSA program, for bringing together her team at Simplecoachingcanada to make sandwiches for the people we serve from our outreach vans.

A sandwich is more than nourishment. It provides comfort and sends a powerful message to people experiencing homelessness that they matter and that members of our community care about them.

Great work!

The most-needed items aren't always what you'd expect. While we have plenty of shorts and T-shirts, the people we serve from our outreach vans have expressed a need for: deodorant, razors, men's sweaters, and sleeping bags.
Please drop off donations at the Ve’ahavta office, Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm.

Chag Shavuot Sameach!
Tonight, Jewish communities around the world celebrate Shavuot, commemorating the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and the values that continue to guide us today.
Our organization takes its name from one of those values - Ve’ahavta Lerecha Kamocha - to love your neighbour as yourself. We take seriously our responsibility to show up for others with care, consistency, commitment, high expectations, and an acknowledgement of their unique gifts.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, meaningful, and sweet Shavuot!

Thank you to the participants of the PowerNET conference by the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies for your incredible enthusiasm and care.

This amazing group of nearly 60 professionals came together to make no-sew blankets, PB&J sandwiches, and energy balls for the people we serve from our outreach vans.

These items provide not only nourishment and warmth, but also send a powerful message to people experiencing homelessness that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Your team brought such enthusiasm and energy to the day, while helping prepare meals and organize essential supplies for the people we serve from our outreach vans.

Your hard work, positivity, and commitment were felt both by our staff and by the people who received the fruits of your labour. Great work!
