Last month, we hosted our annual alumni summer picnic, bringing over 120 program graduates together to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy an afternoon of food, sunshine, and community.

Our Alumni Program allows graduates to continue to feel seen, celebrated, and connected, long after their time in our programs.

At Ve’ahavta, the journey doesn’t stop at graduation. Our program participants form a beautiful, supportive, growing community. Earlier this month, program alumni gathered for our annual Alumni Holiday Party to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and celebrate the holiday season. We had fun!

When we met Ijeoma, a refugee from Nigeria, she was living in a shelter with her 3 kids, and didn’t know where to start to rebuild her life.

At Ve’ahavta, she found the support system and learning she needed to reset and start building her and her family’s future in Canada.

Ijeoma is among 300 people who journeyed from poverty to independence in the last year thanks to Ve’ahavta donors.
