We are LiftED (previously The Leacock Foundation, established in 1992), a charity whose vision is a world where all children and youth have an opportunity to reach for their full potential. Thank you to Indigo Love of Reading Foundation and Penguin Random House Canada for their generous donation of brand new books to our LEAP into Literacy Summer Camp! 📚💙

Because of your support, every student was able to take home brand new books to enjoy before the start of the school year. These books will help keep young minds engaged, inspire a love of reading, and give children the opportunity to continue building their literacy skills throughout the rest of the summer.

Giving back, one backpack at a time! 🎒

Through BLG Cares, the Borden Ladner Gervais LLP team dedicated a morning to packing 60 backpacks filled with school supplies and lunch bags for children attending LEAP into Literacy at our Jane and Driftwood site.

We are grateful for their generosity, care and commitment to helping our students feel supported and ready to learn. We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership and creating even more opportunities for children in our community.

We were honoured to welcome MP Judy Sgro to our Brookview LEAP into Literacy Summer Camp! 🌟

During her visit, students proudly showcased final projects from our AI and the Arts curriculum, demonstrating how literacy can be strengthened through creativity, technology, critical thinking, and self-expression.

MP Sgro also presented LiftED with a Certificate of Recognition and joined us in celebrating the incredible work and creativity of our students.

We are grateful to welcome TD Canada volunteers into our classrooms, where they supported students, connected with them, and celebrated the incredible final projects they worked so hard to create.

A special thank you to the OpenRoad Foundation for putting together back-to-school kits for the students at our Scarborough LEAP into Literacy Summer Camp!

The kits will help our students head into the new school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

We are incredibly grateful for OpenRoad Foundation’s support of LiftED Literacy and Leadership and our free literacy and math programs. Their generosity helps remove barriers to learning and ensures children have the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
