Insha'Allah we are available to help with da'wah activities (including presentations on Islam and da'wah workshops) around the GTA, and we are willing to support other efforts around Canada. In recent years we have witnessed a surge in vicious attacks on Islam by the Media which has resulted in an atmosphere of distrust and enmity towards the Muslim populace in the western world. In fact repeated surveys have shown people continue to distrust Muslims and feel that they constitute the fifth column in their respective societies. As a result of this we have witnessed a marked increase in hate crimes against Muslims in various countries including association of Islam with violence. We believe a lot of it stems from the misconstrued representation of Islam either be it deliberate or from ignorance by the media. Therefore we feel it is our duty to inform people about Islam and what it stands for as opposed to the negative media rhetoric which continues to associate everything negative with Islam. There are a lot of ways which can be employed to inform and deescalate the environment of hysteria which exists today. One way we believe is to be out on the streets, available with Islamic literature including educated Muslims who can clarify and rebut allegations against Islam. We give out a variety of free introductory literature on Islam including a Translation of the Quran, small pamphlets and a DVD at Dundas Sqaure DownTown Toronto. We also carry literature in different languages like French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Greek and German.

Alhumdulillah NINE shahaadas across three teams of our daees giving da'wah in Toronto. (Only two photos are being shared in this post due to privacy reasons for some of our revert brothers and sisters).

Occasionally, it is questioned whether these shahaadas were "sincere", and why we share the numbers in shahaadas. To clarify: 1) We are here to share the message of Islam, outline the articles of faith, and establish whether or not the individuals we engage with have doubts that hinder them from becoming Muslim. We then try to establish whether they are at a stage of learning where they are ready to take the shahaada. A special effort is made to ask each individual if they understand the step of shahaada and what it means, and that they are not under any pressure to take the shahaada.

2) We are not in any position to doubt, judge, or question what is hidden in the hearts of those who take their shahaadas with our team members. We are here to facilitate the outward process, and only Allah swt knows what is hidden in the hearts. Our daees also make an effort to connect the reverts with a support network.

3) Finally, we do not share our shahaadas online as a means of earning views , likes, or personal praise (all praise is due to Allah - it is Allah swt who guides), and we often abstain from sharing photos of our revert brothers and sisters for privacy reasons). We share our shahaadas as a means of inspiration for others to engage in conversations with Muslims, for Muslims to engage in da'wah, for our book donors to be informed that their efforts bear fruit, and to invite people to make duas for our revert brothers and sisters, our duaat, and their respective families.

May Allah swt accept the efforts of the daees and those who take their shahaadas. Ameen.

Alhumdulillah 9 shahaadas (6 sisters and 3 brothers) between our daees in the Toronto area: these included a sister from an indigenous background, and a shahaada during a Palestine march in Toronto. All praise is due to Allah swt. Allah Hu Akbar.
May Allah swt grant us and our revert brothers and sisters strength in knowledge, practice and passion for the deen. Ameen. Our team also took da'wah to the Ontario city of Waterloo doing back-to-back da'wah with IERA during a small annual festival (Lumen).

Sometimes it's enough to ask people to reflect on the creation of Allah swt. SubhanAllah. Allah Hu Akbar.

Surah Ali 'Imran (3:191):“Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], 'Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly...'”

Over 30 hours of back-to-back da'wah between Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, and collaboration with Dawah Canada. Hundreds of books on Islam distributed, over 100 Qur'an translations given, and many conversations with positive feedback. Alhumdulillah.
Nothing of creation can challenge the Creator. Allah Hu Akbar.

Alhumdulillah a busy da'wah day last weekend with many pamphlets, books, Qur'ans, and conversations shared - a day blessed and completed with a shahaada. Allah Hu Akbar.

Back-to-Back da'wah during the second week of August between Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada . A collaboration between daees from Dawah Canada and Street Dawah Toronto - with a combined effort and blessing of a total of 10 shahaadas. We cannot display images of all 10 reverts due to privacy reasons - please keep our daees, reverts, and families in your prayers/duas.

Sharing Islam has a sweetness that can only be experienced with the intention and the effort. Alhumdulillah. A reminder for every Muslim reading and sharing this - make the intention and make the effort to taste that sweetness through da'wah - whether by example and actions, or by sharing a free Qur'an and books on Islam, or by way of conversation.

The Prophet (saw) stated, "For Allah to guide a man by your hand is better for you than everything over which the sun rises and sets." (Al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr lil-Ṭabarānī 930).
