The Colour of Birth exhibition will involve the launch of the digital Colour of Birth Gallery and three Panel discussions which will showcase the preliminary findings of the CMOC project, making this the first-of-a-kind historical midwifery presentation from the lens of Black midwives migrating to Canada between the 1800s and 1960s!

The mission of the Colour of Birth Project team is to translate knowledge that will;
1. promote health equity for Black birthing families,
2. increase public knowledge of the strengths and positive contributions of Black midwives from 1800 until now (initially as Canada's first refugees and among the Canadian settlers and immigrants that built Canada);
3. showcase the beauty of Black bodies, Black families and their ancestral traditions.
