Thanks to DoorDash, more than 100 families connected to 28 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in Canada received support with everyday essentials.

Together, we’re helping remove barriers, create meaningful experiences, and support young people and families across Canada.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour and remember the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities.

September 30 is an opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect on the lasting impacts of the residential school system and its intergenerational effects.

As we remember and reflect, may we continue moving forward with a commitment to truth and reconciliation.

Aujourd’hui, en cette Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation, nous rendons hommage aux survivantes et survivants des pensionnats autochtones, ainsi qu’à leurs familles et à leurs communautés.

Le 30 septembre est l’occasion d’écouter, d’apprendre et de réfléchir aux répercussions durables du système des pensionnats autochtones et à ses effets intergénérationnels.

Alors que nous nous souvenons et que nous réfléchissons à cette histoire, poursuivons notre cheminement avec un engagement renouvelé envers la vérité, la réconciliation et la compréhension mutuelle.

31,329 Children and youth supported through mentoring programs in 2025.
17,871 Volunteer mentors supported young people across the country in 2025.
83 Locally rooted BBBS agencies make up the national network today.

Behind every number is a young person, a caring mentor and the little moments that can Make Life Bigger.

For a young person, those Little things can make a Big difference.

Through mentorship, Big Brothers Big Sisters connects youth with caring adults who show up, listen, encourage and help them see what’s possible. Over time, those Little moments can build confidence, connection and a stronger sense of belonging.
