As Physical Therapy Month is coming to close we want to high-light the incredible work and difference that PT’s make. Rob was given a 5% chance of walking after a traumatic spinal injury and we are so proud that his PT chose to use our Activator® Poles and program as part of his rehabilitation. His Physical Therapy team Toronto Rehab knew that the Activator® Poles have the off-loading capacity of 200lbs per pole and the assurance that they will withstand what would be necessary for a patient like Rob. Know the difference in quality that only a OT designed walking pole can make. Activator® Poles are FDA approved in the USA. Hi everyone
I know this is not the right place to post this, but I have tried some relevant sites and they either didn’t react at all or couldn’t tell me anything because of confidently agreements.
I hope one of you can help me. I am looking for someone. I don’t know much about her (yet), because we only “met” in February and hadn’t that much contact yet.
The person I am looking for suffered a life changing injury during a hiking accident in 2019 and is still in rehab. We met at a fanfiction site and had some pretty good “talks” via PM. She had a few setbacks, but after some very difficult days, she had told me that she was ready to fight again.
Unfortunately, that was the last thing I had heard from her. It’s been 7 weeks now (on Monday, May 3rd) and I am concerned that something serious had happened.
I know it is a long shot, because Toronto isn’t exactly a small town, but sometimes the world is. That is why I hope one of you knows that woman I am looking for. I don’t want a full name or an address or anything like that. I just really want to know what is going on or what had happened.
So, here are some facts about her: She lives in Toronto. She has a sister. While in rehab she skyped with her mom or got visits from her. Her hiking accident had been in October 2019 “far from home”. She had already remodeled her house, because she had wanted to return in March. The setbacks had shattered that plan. She has family in Madrid. She had thought about becoming a peer after having her life back under control. Her peer’s name is Mike. Not sure, but the number 808 might have a meaning for her. She had worked for a law firm before her accident.
I know her first name, so if one of you know someone who those facts apply to, PLEASE send me a message starting with that first name. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me what had happened. And please don’t make fun of this sending lamebrained PMs. If you feel offended by this or think it is totally inappropriate feel free to delete this.
Thanks for reading to the end.
Dave can often be found 🏃running in and out of the clinic and making the rest of us feel lazy 😂 but this week we’re cheering 🥳 him on as he runs for a cause doing the TRI Virtual Ride for Rehab. Way to go Dave Frake!

This month, we’re participating in the Virtual Ride for Rehab in support of Toronto Rehab.
Participants will “move” their way across Canada by: walking, wheeling, swimming, spinning, running, dancing, skating, snowshoeing, steps/distance in the house…you name it! You’ll log your distance, and together, we will watch our daily progress travelling from the east coast to the west, all while raising funds and awareness for the incredible work of Toronto Rehab.
For a $25 registration fee, participants will have access to free daily classes: spinning, yoga, and a movement class (some of which will be led by our very own team!). Those who join the free classes will earn “mileage” to add to the daily distance covered.
📅: February 20th – 27th
💰: $25 to participate
