The Youth Employment Program is currently seeking supportive employers to host students for a 10-week work experience placement running June 8 – August 14.

At TDCALA, our goal is to create a vibrant learning community where adult learners feel supported and empowered to succeed.
📍 Location: Taber, AB
💼 Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract (11 weeks)
💲 Wage: $30.00–$40.00/hour

We are seeking an outgoing, flexible, and self-motivated educator with:
✔ Bachelor of Education Degree
✔ Experience teaching adults and understanding adult learning principles
✔ Strong literacy and numeracy instruction skills
✔ Knowledge of English Language Arts and Social Studies (Grades 9–12)
✔ Experience with school-based technology
✔ Ability to foster a positive and successful learning environment

Location: In-person at Taber Adult Learning

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll support clients facing a variety of barriers—while gaining valuable experience in administration, community outreach, and client support. No two days are the same!
💼 What You’ll Do:
• Help clients with technology (email, printing, online platforms, and more)
• Support front desk operations and assist walk-in clients
• Communicate with community partners and stakeholders
📅 Position Details:
• 35 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• June 1 – August 28
• 13-week contract
✅ Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs Program):
• Ages 15–30
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident
• Returning to school full-time in the next academic year

• Strong communication and organizational skills
