Taber Youth Employment Program

Taber Youth Employment Program This session will last for an additional 12 weeks.

The Taber Youth Employment Program is a project under Taber & District Community Adult Learning Association and is funded by the Government of Canada's Skills Link Program. The Youth Employment Program, funded by the Government of Canada, provides youth ages 15 – 30 who are facing barriers to employment, an opportunity to participate in a 19-week skill development and work experience program. The

participation includes a 7 week Quality Skills Training, which is the in class component of the program, where the students learn skills that include resume writing, public speaking, and working in teams. Following the in class section, the participants are connected with a suitable employer for a Quality Employment Opportunity, that will guide them toward a possible career. During the program, both the in class and the job placement sections, participants are paid minimum wage through federal government funding.
