In From The Cold Rescue is a volunteer based group, previously located in Lethbridge and currently operating in the Taber area. I originally started the rescue with my husband out of our home in 2014, and since then we have expanded to involve several foster homes and volunteers. We are n
ot a non-profit organization at this time, but we are working our way towards that goal. Our mission as a rescue is to reduce the number of stray cats and dogs in the area by getting the animals spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and finding them their forever home. We operate under a strict “No kill” policy, and provide a safe, happy environment for animals in our care, including plenty of exercise and lots of love and attention. The animals are socialized with cats, dogs, and even young children to ensure that they will be a perfect fit for any family. We also work closely with other rescues and organizations to provide the absolute best care for the animals. All animals are kept in isolation for 72 hours upon arrival to ensure the safety of all pets. Our adoption fees include the cost of any necessary veterinary care and getting the pet spayed/neutered. Our Adoption Process
The first step to welcoming a new pet into your family begins with a short adoption application that helps us understand the environment the animal will live in and how you plan to care for him/her. We also do a home check to be sure that your pet will be safe and happy in it's new home. Animals under the age of six months will receive their first set of vaccinations, de-worming, and will be sent home with a spay/neuter voucher to be used when they reach sexual maturity. Animals six months and older will receive their first set of vaccinations, de-worming, and are spayed/neutered before they are available for adoption. Pets are adopted out with their vet records and information about their past to the best of our knowledge. Adults - $150 Pairs - $260
Kittens - $200 Pairs - $360
Seniors (10+ years) - $80
