Strathroy Toastmasters

Strathroy Toastmasters played an important role in the Strathroy-Caradoc Mayoral Debate this week!

We are very proud to have our club president Ross as the moderator for this important municipal event.

The purpose of Toastmasters is to help each member develop the skills and comfort with public speaking to pursue the opportunities and speaking opportunities in the world around us with confidence. For some people, that looks like being able to give a wedding speech; for others, it looks like being involved in the community like this.

In August, we held a Tall Tales contest where Toastmasters tried their hand at improbable, impossible, and humorous stories. Each speech had to last between 3 and 7 minutes, and was written as an original speech by the contestant.

Congratulations to our wonderful members for telling such great stories and giving us an evening of fun and laughs.

Think you're good at telling a story? Join Strathroy Toastmasters Tuesday evenings at 7 PM and try your hand at a speech!
