Dont forget to register for Story Crowd with the magical Ken Parsons, Storyteller on on July 15! See below for deets!

Story Crowd is for tellers who want to gather with other storytellers, chat, and test out new story ideas. If that sounds like fun, then join us on Wednesday, July 15 at 730pm NL time (6pm EST).

The Story Crowd is a no-pressure space for you to hone your craft. Our resident storyteller Ken Parsons hosts this online get together where new and veteran tellers share tips, tricks, and techniques.
This event is strictly for tellers, and does not have an audience.

A bit about our host, Ken:
Ken Parsons loves Newfoundland Labrador, and it shows in his recitations. Spending summers growing up in Bonavista Bay, he has created “Raisin Arm”, an imaginary Newfoundland Labrador community full of “heart warming stories” and “all kinds of foolishness”.The everyday joys and fun of local culture are always “just down the Arm”. As an accomplished magician, you’re sure to see Ken pull a trick or two out of his sleeve during his stories.

The Faeries are coming this weekend!!

SJS is travelling to Cupids Legacy Centre for a magical evening of storytelling! This all-family event promises an enchanting night filled with wonder, imagination, and unforgettable tales for all ages.

The event begins at 7:00 PM, 20th June, and admission is only $10. Gather your family and friends and step into an evening of magic together. Don’t miss this special night of faeries and storytelling!

Our annual SJS fundraiser is TONIGHT! We hope you'll join us!! 👇

Spring is in the air—and so are the stories!

Join us for St. Nick’s Spring Picks, an engaging evening of storytelling in support of St. Nicholas Church and St. John’s Storytelling. Featuring an outstanding lineup of storytellers: Karen Carroll, Dave Paddon, Derrick Dymond, and Ken Parsons. Hosted by Randy Crane

Friday, June 5 at 7:00 PM - 10 St. Nicholas Lane, Torbay.

Enjoy a night of laughter, reflection, and memorable tales from some of Newfoundland and Labrador’s finest storytellers. Whether you are a longtime fan or new to live storytelling, this event offers a welcoming and enriching experience.

Tickets are $20 (plus Eventbrite fee). Purchase tickets at Eventbrite or at the door.
