This was our first ever event and I cannot express enough gratitude for the people that made it a success. From the silent auction donations, equipment donations and bands donating their time, to the volunteers that made it all happen. Thank you to everyone for supporting The Trevor Claydon Fundraiser and first responder su***de prevention.

The easiest way to prevent su***de is by talking about it and on a beautiful day that we had there was a lot of chatter, music, smiles, and laughter. Considering everyday before and everyday after is rainstorms, there must have been someone (or multiple people) looking after us.

Thank you everyone and we hope to see you all next year at an even bigger and better Trevor Claydon Fundraiser.

Throughout the month of June, the Claydon Family and The Flare Initiative are raising money for first responder su***de prevention in honour of Trevor Claydon. He was a father, a husband, a friend, an Edmonton Police Officer, and so much more.

Join The Flare Initiative and the Claydon Family on Sunday June 14th to honor Trevor Claydon, and support first responders, their families, and su***de prevention.

We are excited to feature live music from Delta 88 and The Cabbies, food trucks, a bouncy castle, a space for community connection, and so much more!

All proceeds go to The Flare Initiative to help support our mission of reducing first responder su***des through data-driven prevention.

Meet Trevor.

Husband. Father. Officer. Friend.

Trevor Claydon served the Edmonton Police Service and showed up — at work, at home, and for the people he loved. He cared deeply about others, and that's the part of him we want to carry forward.

From his wife:

"This fundraiser is about honouring Trevor, raising awareness, and ensuring others get the support they need. If his story helps even one person, it matters."

On June 14, we're gathering at Blue Meadows for a day in his honour, and in support of every first responder, every family, and every person quietly carrying weight that deserves to be shared.

Bring your kids. Bring your neighbours. And bring an appetite for food, fun, and community connection.
