🎭 Dreaming of taking theatre, vocal, dance or other performing arts classes?

The Norm Usiskin Bursary for Young Performers can help make it happen.

Created in memory of longtime Horizon Players mentor and youth theatre champion Norm Usiskin, the bursary provides financial support to young performers looking to develop their skills through arts training programs. Past recipients have used their awards to participate in programs such as Artstrek, vocal lessons, dance classes and theatre intensives.

Up to four bursaries will be awarded in 2026 to eligible youth who have participated in a Horizon Players production.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by Marc Coyle, which won Outstanding Performer, Director and Production at this year's Provincial One Act Festival! So proud of all of you!

The Final Award is for Outstanding Production and was won this year by “Crystal Blue Persuasion” from Horizon Players! Congratulations to the entire team for this hilarious comedy that brought the house down.

Breaking Fools News: tonight, the role of the Magistrate (normally played by Brett Hammerlindl) will be played by Dani Morin, who is also our Sophia Understudy and Assistant Stage Manager. Now seems like a good time to give a special shout out to Dani -- and all understudies -- for the important and headache-relieving things they do. Sophia fans will get to see Dani perform the role on Saturday (April 25) for the 2pm matinee, and Ayla Joyce at 7:30pm. And yes you can buy tickets to both shows and see both Sophias -- stop asking and just do that!
