Abel Enterprises is a local charity that has been supporting community members who live with a mental illness or addiction for over 40 years! From its beginning of 5 men who formed a grassroots work group to provide yard work in Simcoe, the Group has grown to a registered charity that provides a variety of supports and programs for people in our community. From building furniture, wooden products

and crafts, to FUNdraising events in the community, there are lots of ways to get involved with an active and fun group of Members who play as hard as they work. Our goal is to get people back and active, whether its becoming part of our Vocational Rehab therapeutic woodworking shop, to meeting with our ACE Program to help you find a job, to helping out at our Bingos, concession booths and Smash-it! So some of our members and volunteers did a tour of the beautiful and local Whistling Gardens right here in Wilsonville. We were shocked to hear that so many locals had never heard of this stunning 22 acre botanical garden. These gardens have a beautiful story to tell by owners Darren & Wanda Heimbecker. Also rivals RBG and Vegas when it comes to their gardens & musical fountain show! 🌼❤️

We had our 43rd Annual Member Meeting held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 79, Simcoe this afternoon and it was not only fun, & informative but we got to see everyone there including MPP Bobbi Ann Brady bringing greetings from the Province and Adam Veri bringing his greetings from the County and all had a chuckle or two from our E.D.Scott Williams but also a few tears from our very own shop officienado Lyn 💙. We made connections with new people and enjoyed our afternoon.
We got our business done and voted on and that's what mattered most.

We thoroughly enjoyed our great chicken lunch served by none other than Vera AKA So Mexican Eatery. We all rolled out of the hall and to say we didnt have to eat again for the rest of the day would be an understatement 😀
