Congratulations to the 2025–2026 Project SEARCH graduates! 💙
On June 18, Norfolk General Hospital and Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home proudly celebrated the graduation of Jeff, Sheldon, Isaac, Adam and Ryan.
Over the past year, these students became valued members of our hospital and nursing home team. Through hands on placements in several departments, they built new skills, gained confidence, and made meaningful connections with staff, residents, patients, and families.
One of the most powerful moments of the graduation ceremony came from the graduates themselves.
They spoke about the kindness they experienced throughout the year. They thanked the staff and mentors who welcomed them, encouraged them, and helped them succeed. Several shared that they achieved things they never thought were possible because people believed in them and supported them every step of the way.
To our staff mentors, thank you. Your patience, guidance, and encouragement helped make this experience a success. The impact you had on these students will be felt long after graduation day.
We would also like to thank our community partners, the Grand Erie District School Board and the Norfolk Association for Community Living, for their continued partnership and commitment to student success.
Project SEARCH provides students with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to gain real workplace experience, develop job skills, and prepare for meaningful employment after graduation.
Congratulations, Jeff, Sheldon, Isaac, Adam and Ryan. We are proud of everything you have accomplished and excited to see what comes next. 💙
