WE HAVE AN AMAZING UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!
Back in July, we had the absolute pleasure of being chosen as the charity for the Porsche & Coffee Car Show, and at the time we were so excited to announce that the day had raised $810 for Our Place Respite.
Well… turns out that wasn’t the end of the story!!!
A few days ago, we received an INCREDIBLY generous $1,500 donation from CCS Group of Companies, bringing the final total raised from this amazing event to…

$2,310.00!!!! 🎉
We are absolutely blown away!!!!!!!
A HUGE thank you to CCS Group of Companies for this incredibly generous contribution. To have an additional $1,500 come to Our Place Respite months after such a wonderful event was an amazing surprise, and we cannot thank you enough for choosing to support us. And because this event ended up becoming so much more than we ever expected, we want to celebrate everyone who made it happen all over again.
Doug Tarry Homes, thank you for your incredibly generous $700 donation and for being such a consistent supporter of Our Place Respite. You continue to show up for us, and we are so grateful.
Wendy and Mark, thank you for thinking of Our Place Respite in the first place and for all of the work that went into organizing such a great day.
Thank you to Lakmini and the Porsche Club of America, Upper Canada Region Inc, and to every single person who brought out their beautiful cars and gave our community something incredible to come out and see! The cars were the stars of the show, and without all of you there simply wouldn’t have been a show.
Thank you to Maria from Las Chicas Del Café and Streamliners Espresso Bar for keeping everyone caffeinated and bringing so much enthusiasm to the day, and to CASO Station for once again being such a beautiful and welcoming place to gather.
And another BIG thank you to the St. Thomas Railway City Rotary Club, Kyrstan Edmondson, the Jenkins family, Laura Jenkins and Emma Jane Jenkins, and all of the volunteers who showed up and gave their time. These events don’t happen without people willing to roll up their sleeves and help, and we appreciate you so much.
And finally, to our community — thank you for coming out, checking out the cars, making donations and supporting an event that ultimately supported Our Place.
What we originally thought was an incredible $810 day became an incredible $2,310 for Our Place Respite.
For a small not-for-profit like ours, that is a BIG deal!
It means more opportunities, more experiences, more connection and more support for the adults with disabilities and families who are part of Our Place.
One car show.
A whole lot of people who showed up.
And $2,310 raised for Our Place Respite.
