IT'S TODAY!! Caring members of the community are hosting a fundraising event for Rainbow Connections!

Join us for a BBQ & Bake Sale, Yard Sale, and Silent Auction with all funds raised going to Rainbow Connections' "Keep The Lights On!" Campaign.

Saturday, August 8 from 11 AM - 4 PM

Rainbow Connections did not receive our funding this year, and we're relying on community donations and grassroots fundraising to keep the lights on at our Downtown Hub and maintaining our social programs for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, young adults, and adults.

Saidat Vandenberg is an award-winning Canadian edutainer, speaker, and creator of The Saidat Show, known for using music, movement, storytelling, and motivation to inspire young people. For over 20 years, she has brought high-energy school assemblies, leadership programs, and community events to thousands of schools and organizations across Ontario, reaching more than 4 million students throughout her career. Through her work, Saidat empowers youth with messages of confidence, kindness, inclusion, emotional well-being, and resilience while creating unforgettable, joy-filled experiences. In 2025, she was honoured as a YMCA Women of Excellence recipient in Arts, Culture, Education & Training for her impact in education, community empowerment, and the arts.

Charlie’s Market is a creative incubator for Q***r and Allied youth entrepreneurs who are eager to kick-start their own creative business. Our market is a space where creativity, innovation, and youthful energy are celebrated and supported.

Timed in celebration of Pride season and under the rainbow umbrella of Elgin County Pride, the Market is positioned to give young business start-ups access to a captive audience of enthusiastic and welcoming customers. With each purchase, they will see their business grow.

Aeolian Pride Choruses will be gracing our stage this Saturday at Pride in the Park!

Aeolian Pride Choruses creates experiences through choral music that promotes community, diversity, inclusivity and excellence. The chorus is open to all folks, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. With the goal of combatting stereotypes and perceptions, we challenge the cis and heteronormative worldview by inspiring our audience, the LGBT2Q communities and our broader community through advocacy and music. We celebrate victories won, we mourn lives lost, we find unconditional acceptance, and we celebrate all life in harmony, through our songs. We will celebrate those who came before us and whose activism was hard fought. United through song, our voices will be freely heard as we fight for a nation and world where diversity is met with tolerance, equality and respect.

Aeolian Pride Choruses envisions a world where the human voice is lifted up through song in celebration of diversity; where music is valued as a powerful gift and seen as a universal tool to achieve and sustain inclusivity; and where united voices are an instrument of change.
