Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Vancouver Island is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need across Vancouver Island.

We provide help with food, housing and emergency supports. Our organizational structure is comprised of thrift stores, food bank and counselling services, low-rent housing, and a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. The purpose of our thrift stores is two fold:
First, to provide inexpensive clothing and household goods to the community. Second, to support our outreach programs

through the funds raised. The Social Concern Office serves the Victoria downtown population with food, clothing, household goods, counselling services, tax preparation, and a variety of other programs based on need. The Society currently has an apartment building in downtown Victoria, serving 39 hard-to-house individuals. Plans are underway to build a second facility that will serve single women as well as single mothers. The Frederic Ozanam Centre serves 50 individuals with developmental disabilities. Our clients participate in a number of activities, both recreational and educational. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.

๐ŸŽ‰ Food Drive Success Thanks to You! ๐ŸŽ‰

Last weekend, on June 6, our Food Drive was a tremendous success thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. More than 30 individuals and families participated, and together we collected enough food and essential items to prepare over 100 food hampers for people in need.

A heartfelt thank you to Maximum Express, Sacred Heart Church, and everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this initiative. Your kindness and compassion are helping strengthen our community and bring hope to those facing food insecurity. We couldn't have done it without you!
