Want to use Ancestry.com but do not know where to start?
With more than 19 billion records, Ancestry is the worldโs largest online genealogy resource โ and it can be challenging to know where to begin.
To help, this workshop introduces the basics and provides a clear starting point for your research.
In this session, you will learn:
โข how to create a family tree
โข who to begin with and what information to enter
โข privacy considerations
โข how to add spouses, children, and parents
โข the basics of searching records
โข whether you can trust Ancestry hints
The workshop also includes an introduction to AncestryDNA, including Origins, match lists, ThruLines, and more.
Bring your questions โ time permitting, we will work through them together.
This is the first of a two-part series, with a follow-up workshop on May 30, 2026 for deeper exploration. Registration is required for each session.
