You know the kid who takes apart the remote just to see how it works?

That is basically our target audience. Ten Peaks Innovation Alliance is an Alberta nonprofit that gives students in Grades 7-12 hands-on ways to explore energy, climate, and environment topics through summer camps, a free Learning Library for teachers, and the 10PIX Student Conference for teens.

We built our camps and programs for kids who learn by doing, not by sitting still.

At the last conference, a student stood up and asked a panel of energy professionals a question that stopped the room.

That is the moment Ten Peaks Innovation Alliance exists to create. We connect Alberta students and teachers to real-world energy, climate, and environment learning through hands-on camps, a free Learning Library, and the 10PIX Innovation XChange Student Conference. Our programs work because students are in the room with the people actually doing the work, asking questions that matter.

Teaching energy and climate topics without accidentally starting a debate in your classroom is not always easy.

That is part of why we built the Learning Library, a free set of classroom-ready resources from Ten Peaks Innovation Alliance. We are an Alberta nonprofit that helps Grades 7-12 students and teachers explore energy, climate, and environment topics through hands-on, balanced learning, no lecture required.

Beyond the Learning Library, we run summer camps and the 10PIX Student Conference, where students meet people working across Alberta's energy and science sectors.

There is a particular kind of pride that comes from watching your kid explain how they built something.

That is what our summer camps are built around. Ten Peaks Innovation Alliance runs hands-on robotics, coding, and SMART farming camps for kids ages 9-15 across Alberta, with Pay What You Can registration so cost is not the reason a kid misses out.

We are a nonprofit focused on making energy, environment, and STEM learning practical and accessible for Alberta students and teachers, through camps, a free Learning Library, and the 10PIX Student Conference for teens.

Whatever your Heritage Day looks like this year, whether that's a lake, a backyard, or a lineup for mini donuts, we hope it's a good one.

What a week in Red Deer.

Our elementary camp brought together kids ages 9-12 for a half-day of building and coding LEGO robots, and getting hands-on with design thinking along the way.

They walked away having tried real robotics, talked about how automation and ag-tech show up in everyday life, and worked as a team to solve problems.

Huge thanks to Steven Schultz for guiding them through it, and to every parent who packed a lunch, cleared a schedule, and got their kid there. You made this camp what it was.

Big thanks as well to the Red Deer District Chamber for being such wonderful hosts!

Bees are part of the food supply chain, far beyond all their tasty honey. They play a vital role in helping everything grow. That's why every April for Earth Month, 10PIX students plant flowering plants for bees and other pollinators.

Want a classroom-ready way to bring this into your own lessons? Our Learning Library has videos on clean tech and nature-based solutions, built with partners like Nature Conservancy of Canada / Conservation de la nature Canada and Canada WaterPortal Society, ready whenever you need them.

Save this for the next time pollinators come up in class.
