Heimdall's Spears are the Red Deer Branch of a Viking Re-enactment Group called The Vikings Vinland (we also have groups in Edmonton & Calgary)
We get nerdy on Viking history, crafting, combat and more.

If anyone’s interested in learning about what it is we do, we have some up coming practice dates for the next few months.
There is no cost to show up, come find out what it is we do, whether it is crafting, combat or working on our kits! Even if you just want to come talk about some Viking History feel free to stop in! See attached poster for dates, either Thursday nights 6-8pm or Sundays 1-4pm! Hope to see you there!!

Anyone looking for something to do this weekend Aug 08-09, come check out the Pigeon Lake Medieval Madness / Medieval Events by Amadaya! You will find us Red Deer Heimdall's Spears that are part of The Vikings Vinland with our Living Village and fight shows, along with a few other groups from Red Deer, including Red Stags of Red Deer with their Fight the Knight, Red Deer Reavers with their fully armoured medieval combat, and blacksmiths MOUNT CROM Armouries Inc. along with other entertainments and vendors! Rain or shine we will be there with something for the whole family!!

Make ready, good folk. The journey is nearly upon us.

With just days to go, now is the perfect time to plan your visit to Pigeon Lake Medieval Madness. Whether you're joining us for one day or spending the entire weekend within the realm, a little planning now means more time enjoying every experience once you arrive.

Vikings are Setting up at Days of Yore! Come see us this weekend at Heritage Park in Calagary!

Never a dull day for us! Edson Renaissance Faire was one for the books! Saturday was a fantastic day - the faire was bright and sunny, the people were amazing. However, Saturday evening a huge storm broke - and the Vikings had to do some recovery for day two! Thankfully we banded together and still put on a great (athough muddy) show! This weekend, The Vikings prepare to invade Calgary for Days of Yore at Heritage Park for Saturday and Sunday and Next Weekend we will be at Pigeon Lake Medeval Faire!

Looking for something to do this long weekend, interested in history, Days of Yore in Calgary is an excellent event to check out. They feature re-enactors from just about every era including us along with The Vikings Vinland. There is something for everyone.
