Day 1 of our Zed Haunted House 2026 build got underway this week, and the transformation has officially begun! Like Dr. Frankenstein in his lab, our crew has started to bring Red Deer’s longest-running and scariest haunted attraction to life—piece by spooky piece.

A huge thank you to our friends at Borouge International and the Nova Days of Caring volunteers. Every year, this incredible team swoops in and, by week’s end, our haunted house is stitched together with perfection. It’s always a thrill to work alongside true community partners—people helping people, and making magic (and a little mayhem) happen.

Stay tuned for more eerie progress updates as our creation comes alive for opening night on October 16th. Ready to face your fears? Purchase your tickets for 2026 at this link!

Here’s another weekly blast of teal displays from some of our amazing Turn the Town Teal partners! As we move into the second half of September, we’re celebrating Big Brothers Big Sisters Month and the power of mentorship in our community.

Don’t forget to catch us tomorrow night at the Red Deer Rebels home opener—we’ll be taking over the Rebels Community Corner! Turn the Town Teal is all about raising awareness for the urgent need for mentors to help guide local youth toward a brighter future. Just one hour a week can change a life.

Thank you to everyone helping us shine a light on mentorship this month—keep checking in for more updates!

What a day! Huge thanks to The Outreach Centre for having us at their Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event last Friday, September 11th. It was an unforgettable morning of red heels, laughter, and powerful conversations—raising awareness for domestic violence and celebrating the strength of survivors.

And here’s the cherry on top: Laura and Rob made it official and announced that the Outreach Centre is moving in as our newest neighbors at our Youth HQ Centre for Social Impact! We’re thrilled to welcome them and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together.

2026 has been a wild ride, but with more nonprofits collaborating under one roof, the future is looking brighter than ever for Central Alberta. Here’s to new partnerships, bigger impact, and supporting our community—one step (and one fabulous shoe) at a time!
