I had the pleasure and honor to be invited to present at the inaugural 100 Women+ Who Care Vancouver gathering earlier this week. Meeting three times a year, each member contributes $100 per gathering resulting in a collective contribution of $10,000 to one of three presenting charities. Although we didn’t receive the majority vote, I left knowing I created awareness and introduced 100 more people to A4A. I’m grateful to those members who the next day, made monetary donations to our society through our donation page. I truly appreciate the support! Congrats to Food Stash Foundation for being the winning recipient!

42 years since she was last in a boat and this happened. Three generations (myself, my mom and my son) together at Eagle Nook Resort taking part in our first FFE (Family Fishing Experience) of 2026. 7 families came together yesterday and today was our first collective day on the water. An epic day had with some amazing guides and a next level staff to feed us and take care of all of our needs.

This one isn’t about fishing or boating. This is about perseverance and simply showing up and trying. When he started track workouts last fall it was a chore to get him out. A knee injury took me out of the training game but he persisted in his training flanked by his mom and siblings. Four weeks post op and I wanted to simply finish. It wasn’t about time but rather ‘the moment’; and that came at the 17km mark when B passed me. Watching him fade away in the distance was overwhelming. A culmination of 21 years of so many people supporting him and here he was holding his own for 2 hours and 18 minutes covering 21.1km. A big thanks to little bro (who completed his first half) and his sister (who was injured) for showing up for B-man! So proud.
