Langley Animal Protection Society has over 350 animals in care & the Township of Langley has given them till October 10th to vacate the space they have occupied for years! They have expanded time and time again with the assistance of donor funds!!

Yesterday, the Township of Langley gave notice that it intends to terminate LAPS as its animal control services provider as of October 10th, 2025. During our 23-year relationship with the Township, LAPS has worked in partnership with three prior mayors and their councils to protect public safety and ensure the wellbeing of animals in our community. We are deeply disappointed by this decision. Despite the challenges this decision brings, LAPS is committed to keep serving Greater Langley with compassion and integrity.
