Picton Rotary

Picton Rotary Rotary Club of Picton meets every Tuesday at 12noon at Prince Edward Yacht Club Over the years, the club has grown to its present size of about fifty members.

The Rotary Club of Picton was chartered on June 7, 1943 by a group of dedicated individuals who decided to try to find ways of helping the world in the midst of the Second World War. Fellowship, fundraising, and the pursuit of the Four Way Test remains the foundation of the Rotary Club of Picton in all its activities. Supporting the needs of people locally and around the world is the reason that w

e have several fundraising events during each year. Fundraising events include the Waterfall tour (Easter weekend), Lilac Ride (May), Golf Tournament (Aug), Ukraine Event (Oct), Wall of Wine Raffle (Nov), and our Cash Calendar sales (Nov-Dec). The club distributes funds to worthy projects in both local and worldwide communities. Donations and support for local projects/organizations include Back the Build, Rotary Woods Walkway (Macauley Conservation Area), Regent Theatre, ROC, and Reaching for Rainbows - to name just a few. International projects include water and sanitation projects, vaccination to eradicate polio, shelter following natural disasters (ShelterBox), and improving access to education, medicine, and healthcare in vulnerable communities. Membership in the Rotary Club of Picton is open to people who will uphold the ideals of Rotary and live by the Four Way Test. Please contact any Rotarian or email [email protected] if you are interested in joining. We hold weekly "hybrid" meetings every Tuesday with the option to participate either by Zoom and in-person at the Prince Edward Yacht Club (PEYC), 30 Fairfield Street in Picton, Ontario Canada. Meetings are from 12 - 1 pm. Please contact us prior to travelling to the PEYC to be sure that we're meeting that week. Information about the weekly meetings is also on our website at www.pictonrotary.ca

We encourage you to support our fundraising events in order to help us help others as we enact our motto 'Service Above Self'.
