Public Energy presents BODIES UNDER SIEGE on Thursday, November 19, 2026 at 7:30pm, featuring two vastly different yet highly complementary new works dealing with reactions to cancer diagnoses. Renowned local artist Kate Story's humorous & erudite work Hysterical explores emotional landscapes surrounding cancer diagnosis. Allison Cummings’ work for locally born dancer Christy Stoeten approaches the subject from a more visceral place, exploring their shared experiences with diagnosis, treatment, and the permanent impact Breast Cancer has had on their lives & creative selves.

Tickets are on sale now with 3 price increments at https://tixr.com/groups/markethall/siege

How did Sara Porter's Bad Poetry: Live in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough come to be⁉️
During the pandemic, Porter invited friends and colleagues to join The Bad Poetry Drinking Group online, inviting members to share their bad poetry as a means of self-expression, release, relief (often comic), and connection during trying times. With the Bad Poetry live show, Porter shares the joy of imperfect verse✍️ on a new wavelength, bringing her wit, wiles and wonderful dancing🤸‍♀️ into play.
