You can give the gift of confidence this school year by ensuring that local kids have all the supplies they need to succeed.

Each year DDFH supplies over 300 children and youth with the items they'll need for school. Your gift will help create a great academic year for low-income kids in Ottawa, and brighter future for everyone.

The Barristers for a Better Bytown donated $2000 to Debra Dynes Family House earlier this year - who used that money to support their School Lunch program.

Children who live in the Debra Dynes neighbourhood can access a packed lunch each day for school. Last year each lunch contained:

• A bagel & cream cheese
• An apple
• An applesauce with berries cup
• A granola bar
• A small container of milk
• A cheese string
• A yogurt cup/tube
• A small, sweet treat (examples include: Halloween candy, suckers, two cookies)

Debra Dynes Family House served approximately 60-70 lunches per day, over 194 days of school, that results in over 12,500 lunches provided.
Each lunch costs approximately $0.87 to make, so the $2,000 donation resulted in 2,300 lunches for local school kids!! Keep up the great work, Debra Dynes Family House!
