♿ On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, CPRA recognizes that everyone deserves access to parks, recreation, and the community connections they create. That means designing spaces and programs with accessibility and inclusion at the center, not as an afterthought.

CPRA remains committed to building a recreation sector that works for everyone.

CPRA was pleased to join cycling advocates and leaders from across Canada for Bike Day on the Hill 2026 in Ottawa. Our CEO, Martin Sampson, joined the celebration to show CPRA’s support for continued federal leadership and investment in active transportation.

Safe, accessible active transportation infrastructure helps create healthier, more connected communities by making it easier for people to incorporate physical activity into their everyday lives. We support continued investment in the Active Transportation Fund and a renewed National Active Transportation Strategy to help communities across Canada build connected, accessible networks for walking, cycling and active living.

Thank you to Vélo Canada Bikes for hosting and to everyone who came together to celebrate the role cycling and active transportation play in strong, healthy communities.

A weekend away doesn't have to mean far away. Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery: a trail, a campsite, a lake, to reset and recharge.

That kind of escape is only possible because of the parks and green spaces communities invest in. Access to nature isn't a luxury, it's part of what keeps people healthy, connected, and grounded.

🟠 On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, CPRA recognizes that this day is about more than reflection, it's about change. Real reconciliation means action: listening to Indigenous voices, addressing the harm caused by residential schools, and building a future where Indigenous communities are respected and supported.

At CPRA, we're committed to doing our part, in our work and in the communities we serve.

Every Child Matters.

Chaque enfant compte.

There's something about starting the day on a trail. The quiet, the fresh air, the simple act of moving through a space built for exactly this.

Parks aren't just backdrops for a good morning, they're essential infrastructure for physical and mental wellbeing. Access to green space and trails is something every community deserves, and it's part of what makes a healthy, connected place to live.

🌳 More green space in our cities? We love to see it!

Burlington is moving forward with plans for two new neighbourhood parks at Cooke Boulevard and Almonte Drive, and residents will have a say in what these spaces look like!

Creating more opportunities for people to connect with nature, be active and gather in their communities is a huge win. Even better when the people who will use these spaces get to help shape them!

We’re excited to see these parks take shape. 🌿

🌳 Plus d’espaces verts dans nos villes ? On adore ça !
