ACB Wellness Resource Centre ACB Wellness & Resource Centre is a community that is built on the foundation of empowering the lives of marginalized groups and youths in Ottawa/Gatineau.

We are here to make the changes that we hope to see for our communities. ACB is an organization committed to educating, enriching, and empowering residents of Ottawa/Gatineau a variety of educational, cultural and performing arts, programs, activities, and exhibits that promote awareness and raise the collective consciousness of all ethnicities to the rich and vibrant history, contribution, and cu

lture of African, Caribbean & Black. The Centre seeks to strengthen our community by fostering unity, self-determination, cooperative economics, collective work, and creativity. Our Vision is to build capacity through literacy, community engagement, resource development and advancement of ACB and marginalized people is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights and there is no racial hatred or racial discrimination. Our programs will address the importance of education, health, wellness, resources, mentoring, cultural awareness, financial empowerment, training, and coaching. Through our own efforts and mentoring programs, as well as forging partnerships with respected social and professional organizations that share a similar passion for affecting positive change. Our Mission is to provide a safe space for the ACB and marginalized community to overcome barriers that prevents one owns self-empowerment, to reach and achieve their full potential.

🚒 Interested in following in their footsteps? The second round of the Ottawa Fire Services Ambassador Grant Program is coming up!

This fully funded opportunity is open to Black, Racialized, and Indigenous adults interested in a career in firefighting and includes firefighter training, certifications, mentorship, career coaching, and application support.

A huge thank you to all 124 youth participants who took part in this year’s Ottawa Youth Race! We hope you had an amazing time, challenged yourselves, and enjoyed being part of such an energetic and inspiring event.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the City of Ottawa City of Ottawa for inviting us to be one of the eight race locations this year. We are proud to have been part of this incredible initiative that encourages youth engagement and community spirit.

Another memorable outing for our seniors group in Ottawa! ☀️🍽️

Our seniors group enjoyed a fantastic outing with 27 seniors in attendance, including several new members. The day was filled with great food, plenty of laughter, wonderful conversations, and beautiful weather.

If you know someone who might enjoy being part of a welcoming and active seniors community, we’d love to have them join us! Our seniors group meets every Wednesday at 610 Donald Street, and newcomers are always welcome.

🇨🇦 What an amazing Canada Day celebration!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Canada Day BBQ. We hope you had a fantastic time celebrating with us!

Thanks to your incredible support, we also raised funds for our Food Cupboard, helping us continue to provide assistance to those in need within our community. We are so grateful to everyone who donated and participated.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to MPP Collard, MP Fortier, and Councillors Tierney and King for stopping by and showing their support for this wonderful community initiative. Your presence helped make the day even more special.
