Since our official launch in June, Odawa's Makwa Dodem Patrol has continued our purpose to serve all our relatives with food, clothing, personal safety items, and connections; We have however had to pivot our focus exclusively to Vanier on one afternoon, for now.

As we continue to work diligently on hiring dedicated and skilled staff for Makwa Dodem Team Lead positions, Odawa staff have been dedicated in supporting the community, along with a few generous volunteers. Our team will continue offering practical support and compassion on these summer afternoons – rain, shine or heat wave!

Thank you for your patience and ongoing encouragement as Odawa staff will continue to support the important Makwa Dodem Patrol mission. Your conversation, waves and smiles in our Vanier community have been deeply encouraging, including from some local businesses!

Together, we're building safer, stronger, and more caring communities - one walk at a time.
