Description:
Nålbinding is a medieval technique for crating a dense, warm fabric often used for hats, mittens, and socks. This Scandinavian version uses a single needle to loop yarn into itself. Nålbinding today has discovered a resurgence.
During the workshop, sudents will learn this ancient technique as well as discuss its history, review other stitches and splicing techniques, and explore individual student interests such as how to make stripes etc.
