A heartfelt thank you to Military Family Services - National Capital Region for their generous donation of approximately 5,000 brand-new T-shirts featuring the message, “I stand on guard for thee.”

The T-shirts were distributed to many individuals and families through our partner agencies. There was a very high demand for the shirts, and we were so pleased to see how excited people were to receive them and how quickly they were distributed to those who needed them.

We truly appreciate the generosity and support of Military Family Services - National Capital Region and their contribution to helping us connect quality, brand-new donations with people in our community who need them most

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Safe Families Canada - Ottawa Chapter! 💙

Safe Families Canada supports families going through challenging circumstances by providing a safe and caring environment for children during times of crisis. Through their Host Family model, parents can voluntarily arrange for their children to stay temporarily with compassionate volunteer Host Families while they work through difficult circumstances such as financial hardship, illness, homelessness, or other emergencies all while parents retain custody of their children.

We are honoured to be part of this meaningful community network and look forward to supporting families in Ottawa.

We were happy to be part of the annual Community Corn Roast hosted by MPP Lucille Collard alongside the Beechwood Market at Stanley Park.

It was a wonderful community event featuring local vendors, face painting for kids, live music, and delicious free local corn. We loved connecting with community members and being part of this fun-filled family event.

A special thank you to everyone who participated in our raffle and supported our Essential Home Kits initiative. Your generosity will help us provide essential household items to individuals and families in our community who are transitioning into stable housing.

During the month of May, our team had outreach activities across OCH buildings in Ward 13 with the support of the CSD team, distributing clothing to residents in need.

These outreach efforts allowed us to connect directly with community members, help ensure that clothing reached those who could benefit from it most, and better understand the needs of the community. We are grateful to all the residents who stopped by and took part in these outreach activities.

A special thank you to the staff at the OCH buildings and to all volunteers for helping make these outreach activities a success. Your support, time, and dedication are greatly appreciated.

Together, we are working to create stronger, more connected communities.

We are very excited to launch our new Essential Home Kits initiative ❤️

Starting over in a new home is not easy, and many community members in need are doing so with very little. These kits will support individuals moving into community housing, including newcomers and people rebuilding after housing challenges, by providing essentials like bed sheets, towels, cookware, and bed bug protection covers, which are currently one of the most requested items

You can help support this initiative by liking, sharing, or donating 💛

You can help turn empty spaces into a more welcoming and comfortable new beginning ❤️
