We are very excited to launch our new Essential Home Kits initiative ❤️

Starting over in a new home is not easy, and many community members in need are doing so with very little. These kits will support individuals moving into community housing, including newcomers and people rebuilding after housing challenges, by providing essentials like bed sheets, towels, cookware, and bed bug protection covers, which are currently one of the most requested items

Last week, we celebrated the incredible women in our community during the International Women’s Day event at CRC Rideau-Rockcliffe CRC and had the chance to recognize two amazing women from our program who are making a real difference in the community.

Sihame Moussaoui is one of our dedicated volunteers. We first met her at last year’s IWD event, and since then she has joined our team, generously giving her time to support our work.

Patricia Sutton is another incredible woman who dedicates her personal time to supporting the community. She does this on her own, working hard to connect not only our program but also other organizations with donors. Her generosity and commitment truly make a difference.

We are very grateful for their support and dedication. Thank you Sihame and Patricia for all that you do and to all the incredible women in our community who make a difference every single day. 💜

Yesterday, we visited one of Ottawa’s social housing communities to distribute brand new clothing to those in need, helping ease financial pressure and meet immediate needs.

The smiles, the conversations, and knowing these items will help reduce everyday expenses remind us why this work matters so much.

A heartfelt thank you to the CSD team for their support and for making this outreach possible. 💙
