Today is Red Dress Day.

Every May 5, Canada pauses to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ People — a crisis that is ongoing, not historical.

Indigenous women represent less than 5% of Canada’s population but 24% of female homicide victims. That demands our attention — today and every day.
